I was born in livejournal but I jumped ship when the Russians invaded. Then I went to Twitter, until the newspapers got ahold of Weird Twitter and killed it. I'm still there; it's just not as weird. And then to wordpress, because Twitter didn't have enough characters for my poems, and then almost immediately to Tumblr, which recent disaster you've probably observed. I'm still there too, but like 99% reblogs.

So, right now? Listening to Illuminatus (Leviathan, hail Eris, etc), did a bunch of house chores (our furnace is broken but since it always blew cold air in our basement room I slept better than ever, and with only one blanket! Fucked up imo) and tax prep and exercise and now I'm knitting (a narrow shawl in self striping black and pink from WoolSilkLace on Etsy).

I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow to be evaluated for Addison's and I'd REALLY like to be noticeably fatigued and low-blood-pressured and so on. But I'm having too good a time??

Same. ...sort of. I started my Dreamwidth account ten years ago when LJ staff were being unresponsive to user concerns, but kept it up as a mirror site for this journal (all my LiveJournal stuff is up in my Dreamwidth archive, going back to November, 2002).

I deleted my LJ entirely when the last Internet server hub was moved to Moscow.

I started my Tumblr in 2016. I'm still there as

aegipan-omnicorn; it's about 85% reblogs, but 99% of that, I've added my own commentary to the thread (or image descriptions for accessibility). I think of my Tumblr as my soapbox in a public square, for ranting, and sharing rants, about the state of the world. And I think of this place as my quiet corner where I think out loud to friends.

Welcome.

FWIW, I started on dial-in BBS, bounced around various Usenet groups and web-boards, before final settling into a stable online persona with LJ. I still echo from DW to my old LJ, but I keep that account only to comment in posts by friends who haven't migrated here (all of them in Europe, interestingly). No Tumblr or Twitter traces.

You've found my Word of the Day journal, but I also have a poetry journal, currently largely inactive because parenthood. The bulk of the last several hundred posts there were draft translations from Japanese.
